Look closely at these subtle and captivating earrings. The rectangular stone is Silver Obsidian, wrapped in sparkling beadwire and supporting a dangling round of Labradorite.
When Obsidian (most commonly black) contains minute bits of mineral crystals, gas, or rock debris, it will have a metallic sparkle or iridescent sheen. This rare combination is known as Silver Obsidian. The stones take on a different look depending on the angle of the light and the viewer. This is very difficult to capture in a still photo, so you’ll just have to trust me on this.
The Labradorite below is iridescent, revealing different sparks of color as you move. An enchanting combination!
