Charlene Reano built these mosaic inlay earrings the way she builds all her work: stone by stone, piece by piece, with a precision that’s hard to appreciate until you see it up close. At 46 x 17 mm, this pair carries the full palette she works with, jet, spiny oyster shell, mother of pearl, denim lapis, and turquoise, each cut and set to fit together without gaps. The result is a surface that looks almost like a painting. Inlay at this level of craft is a tradition of the Pueblo people, and Charlene carries it with real skill.
