Description

Fox turquoise comes from a mine in Lander County, Nevada, and is prized for a range of blue-green colors and matrix patterns that can vary considerably stone to stone. Bryant Martinez fabricated the silver pendant setting and bezeled a single Fox turquoise stone, the silver worked to frame the stone with care. Kathleen Sanchez of San Felipe Pueblo strung the beads, pairing the Fox pendant with natural Armenian turquoise, turquoise known for its soft blue-green color. Together the two artists created a piece where the pendant and the strand feel made for each other.
